Dr. Martin Petry

Martin Petry became Hilti’s CIO in 2005. He is responsible for Hilti’s 500 IT employees based in Switzerland (Buchs SG), US (Tulsa, Oklahoma and Plano, Texas) and Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur). Since 2009 he is also in charge of Hilti’s Business Excellence initiatives and EVP. 

Martin joined Hilti in 1993 and has held various leadership roles in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Great Britain and Japan. He has developed Hilti’s ground-breaking IT Strategy in 2000 and has led its implementation, in particular Hilti’s global SAP implementation cum business transformation project (standard global data structures and business processes supported by a global SAP system with ERP, BI, CRM and SCM). Since 2010, Martin has initiated various cloud computing / SaaS initiatives at Hilti and he has led the development of the comprehensive Information Technology at Hilti Strategy, which is now the foundation of all digital and software activities in the Hilti Group. 

Recently, Martin’s team ran the Drive Program to set the technological foundation for the realization of Hilti’s digital strategy. The program comprised the successful implementation of S/4HANA. With implementing S/4HANA as single global instance used by 19,000 Hilti employees in more than 50 countries, Hilti is a pioneer in the usage of next generation ERP systems and in setting up an intelligent enterprise.

Martin earned his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Georg-August University in Goettingen, Germany.

Dr. Johannes Reichert

Head of Marketing & Sales IT

Johannes Reichert received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University Clausthal in 2009. From 2010 until mid of 2013 he worked at the IT department of the ERGO Versicherungs Gruppe in Düsseldorf. Johannes joined Hilti Global IT as Head of Product Data Management mid of 2013. In this role, he was responsible for the global IT systems used by our engineers and product managers for product design. During his time with Hilti, Johannes lead the global rollout of our Product Data Publishing Platform, contributed to the Champion 2020 Workplace Strategy, and the Hilti Software Operations Strategy as well as our Hana Enterprise Cloud initiative. Since mid-2015 until end of 2017, he led the Corporate Center of Excellence for Application Software delivering the innovative and sustainable Hilti Cloud, User Interface Design and Internet of Things environment to enable excellent digital products for Hilti customers. As Head of DRIVE, he was responsible to implement the S/4 HANA, Customer Engagement & Commerce solutions, BW/4HANA, IoT and Applications on SAP Leonardo at Hilti. Since January 2019 he is responsible for all Marketing and Sales Global IT systems at Hilti. The team based in Switzerland, Germany, Malaysia, United States and France designs, implements and operates the Global Solid Core and Flexible Boundary Solutions, used by our 20.000 Sales & Marketing colleagues. This includes the implementation and rollout of the Salesforce.com CRM solution for 15,000+ users at Hilti. He initiated and drives the re-organization and agile transformation of Global IT, fostering agile methods & mind-set for information technology teams around the world. 

Mr. Michael Neidow

Head of BU Tool Services

Michael Neidow is Head of Hilti’s Business Unit Tool Services. His responsibilities include the global Repair Network, Warranty, and Service concepts as well as Hilti’s emerging Software and IoT Business. 

Michael studied Mechanical Engineering in Germany and the US. He started his professional career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and joined Hilti in 2009. He progressed through the organization and leads since 2018 the Business Unit Tool Services also being part of the Executive Management Team of the Hilti Group.

Mr. Wai-Meng Lee

Head of IT Asia

Wai-Meng is currently the Head of IT Asia for Hilti Group. In this role, he is responsible for the development and growth of Hilti Group’s IT competence centre in Asia located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Since joining Hilti Group in October 2016, he has held various leadership roles in the IT Infrastructure and Application areas. Prior to joining Hilti Group, he spent 8 years with T-Systems International and 10 Years with Shell IT International where he held various IT Infrastructure leadership and technical roles in the areas of SAP and IT Infrastructure services based in Malaysia, Australia, Slovakia and The Netherlands. He also spent 3 years with Siemens Malaysia where he was part of a large SAP project team responsible for the green field implementation of SAP ERP systems for a large electric utility client in Malaysia.

Combining both technical expertise with strong commercial acumen enables Wai-Meng to add value to organisational strategies, processes, and tools with the emphasis always on exceeding the expectations of international clients, strengthening relationships with them to maximise future opportunities.

Mr. Andrew Mcknight

Vice President, Software Delivery F&P Solutions

Andy McKnight is currently the Vice President of Software Delivery for BU F&P Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for all solutions architecture, DevOps, software development, product ownership, user experience and agile practices within the BU focusing on delivering value-based software solutions to contractors and specifiers in alignment with the Fastening and Protection Business Area.

Andy’s career spans from 12 years in the United States Marine Corps’ Intelligence apparatus, 2 software company start-ups, and multiple corporate roles in the commercial real-estate, financial and security industries.  He also has a B.Sc. in Business Administration and Computer Science and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) in Global Strategy from the University of Maryland.

Mr. Patrick Mayer

Head of Supply Chain Management IT

Patrick is currently Head of Supply Chain Management IT. In this role, he, together with his team, is globally responsible for all business applications in manufacturing, Industry 4.0, procurement, supply and demand management, warehousing and transportation. After his engineering studies in Electronics and Telecommunications he received his Master’s Degree in Physics from the University of Innsbruck. Later a Post-degree Diploma in "International Management" at the University of Liechtenstein and UBC Vancouver (Canada) completed his studies. Starting in 1995, up to now Patrick has been working in different functions within the area of ERP, WM and APS systems. Since joining Hilti in 1997 he was leading various international IT departments with team members in Europe, Malaysia and the US and contributed to many projects within global IT. He is as well very passionate about people and organizational development.  

Combining many years of Hilti experience in multiple roles and business understanding with technical expertise enables Patrick to add value to the topic of SCM business applications, not only on operational but also on strategic level.

Mr. Martin Schroeder

Martin Schroeder is heading up Hilti’s Product IT and responsible for all worldwide Hilti applications and systems covering all functional areas and processes for Hilti’s Business Units. His team is located in three strategic locations: Buchs, Switzerland, Plano/TX, USA and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to ensure the follow-the-sun support, rollouts and application development. Martin joined Hilti in 2001 and since then has been a major contributor to Hilti's overall SAP global rollout program in various functions. He became a member of the IT Leadership Team in 2004. Since 2017 he is also responsible for the microservices based Hilti Cloud platform and Internet of Things (IoT) applications currently deployed at Hilti. Before joining Hilti, Martin worked as an SAP Application consultant and SAP Project Manager and involved in many rollouts around the globe in the Sales & Distribution functional area. He graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from Technical University Mittelhessen in Germany in 1994.

Ms. Mye-Lene Teo

Head of Human Resources, HAITS

Mye Lene holds a Masters in Law from the University of Buckingham in the UK and has worked for corporate organizations in the UK and Malaysia for the past 20 years. Mye Lene has been with the Hilti organization since 2014. She has led the HR function and strategy for both Hilti MOMY and HAITS. Since February 2016, she has taken up the full-time role as the Head of HR for HAITS to continue to provide HR leadership to build the teams with the continuous growth of the organization. Mye Lene together with her team has worked towards achieving the HR strategy for HAITS by successfully facilitating the projected people growth for IT and also Business Units located in HAITS, building a sustainable and high performing team and creating an all-in-one HR service centre for HAITS to cater for the newly structured organisation.

Mr. Sin-Siang Soh

Head of Marketing & Sales Technology

Soh has a degree in Computer Science from USM Malaysia and is currently pursuing an MBA at Imperial College London. After winning the Hilti IT Competition, he joined Hilti in 2014 and held several functions within Global IT where he was a major contributor to several IT initiatives, such as the rollout of global product information management system (PDP), to enable Hilti’s ecommerce channel (HOL) for more than 60 countries. During his international assignment to the headquarter, Soh and his team was also involved in the upgrade of Hilti’s world largest single instance SAP ERP and global engineering data management systems. Since 2019 Soh and his team have supported the Digital Marketing teams in Paris, being the key Global IT counterpart for Hilti’s digitalization initiative. In this role he was responsible for enabling the HOL AWS cloud migration for more than 60 countries and for the rollout of new Salesforce customer relationship management system and processes (Evolution) to 45 countries. Since Feb 2021, Soh has been the member of Global Strategic marketing leadership team, assuming the role of Head of Marketing and Sales Technology. 

Ms. Alona Shaked

Project Manager of Hilti Smart Construction Challenge 2021

Alona is currently the Manager of Open Technology for Hilti based in Israel. Besides that, she is also the organizing manager for Hilti Smart Construction Challenge 2021 which focuses on leveraging IoT and reality capture to unleash productivity in construction sites.

Prof. Dr Jan Vom Brocke

Prof. Dr Jan is currently the Professor of Information Systems, Hilti Chair of Business Process Management and Head of the Information Systems Department at the University of Liechtenstein. 

He has published more than 400 papers in top tear journals such as Management Science, MISQ, JMIS, JIT, ISJ, EJIS and MIT SMR. Author and editor of 36 books, incl. BPM-Driving Innovation in a Digital World. Attracted more than €30 million in funding from international research foundations and local industry. Recipient of over 20 international awards, e.g. the «Emerald Literati Network 2014 Award for Excellence», the «ICIS 2015 Best Paper Award», the «AIS Senior Scholars` Best Publication of 2016 Award», and the «AIS Award for Outstanding Contribution to IS Education».

He is also an innovator and trusted advisor to a wide range of organizations as well as the co-founder of the academic start-ups MineMyText.com and EDUglopedia.org (both recognized by international awards) and a co-founder of five competence centers on digital business in Liechtenstein. Prof. Ts. Dr. Rusli Abdullah

Profs. Ts. Dr. Rusli Abdullah is currently a Professor of Software Engineering and Information System Department, as well as the Dean of Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM), University Putra Malaysia (UPM). Specialized in Knowledge Management. He has started his career as a lecturer since 1996 after serving as a System Analyst for 8 years at UPM.

He has published over 14 books and over 80 journal papers, conference publications and other academic research publications. He has also received numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career that includes Silver Medal for University Research Invention in 2008 and 2009, Gold Medal for University Research Invention 2005, Silver Medal for Invention of Technology and Exposition I-TEX (2009), Silver Medal for Malaysian Research Invention and Exposition – MTE (2010, 2012 & 2014) and Certification of University Excellent Services of Lecturer Service for many years since 1999. He has been appointed as Head of Lab for Institute of Software Development, UPM in 2007, Deputy of Chief Information Officer for IDeC, UPM in an early of 2008, and Head of Information System Department of FKSTM, at the end of year 2008. He was a Deputy Dean of KSKTM, UPM from 2009 to 2014. In the years of 2018 to 2019, he was appointed as Deputy Dean of School of Graduate Studies (SGS) UPM He is part of the Technical Advisory Group of UPM Student Information System from 2009 to 2012 and currently as a committee member of Malaysia Software Engineering Interest Group (MySiG) which he has been appointed since 2007. Along his service, he has received over 11 research grant as principle investigator (PI) and also been involved as a chairman as well as a committee members for many conferences at national and international levels.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurul Hashimah Ahamed Hassain Malim

Associate Professor in School of Computer Sciences, University Sains Malaysia

Nurul Malim received her PhD from The University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. She has been serving USM since 2011 where she teaches courses on the specialization of Parallel and Distributed Computing and Bioinformatics. Her research focus encompasses algorithms, technologies and infrastructures that support different scales of data as well as parallelization of algorithms on GPU.

Her interests include data mining / analytics and sentiment analysis in different datasets such as chemical databases, online social network, Point-of-Sales, Stocks Exhange, News and Online Review databases. Her ultimate recognition is becoming a Steering Committee for and international community called the Pacific Rim Application and Grid Middleware Assembly (PRAGMA).

Assoc. Prof. Dr Maizatul Akmar Ismail

Dr Maizatul Akmar Ismail is an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. Her academic qualifications were obtained from Universiti Malaya for Bachelor and PhD degree, and University of Putra Malaysia for Masters. At present, she has more than twenty years of teaching experience since she started her career as a lecturer at the Universiti Malaya. Maizatul was involved in various research, leading to publication of several academic papers in the areas of Information Systems specifically on Semantic Web, Educational Technology, Recommender Systems and Data Mining. She hopes to extend her research beyond Information Systems in her quest to elevate the quality of teaching and learning.

Ir. Ts. Dr. Alvin Yap Chee Wei

Ir. Dr. Alvin Yap is a senior academician and the Head of IoT Research Center (CREDIT) at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation.  His responsibility involves leading the academic team and students to build a platform for IoT research activities.  

Dr. Alvin’s research interests include IoT optimization and engineering systems.  His work comprises of proximity detection, mobile equipment tracking, peer-to-peer communication and predictive maintenance.  

Dr. Alvin holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from University of Arkansas, US, and has received his PhD from Multimedia University, Malaysia. Dr. Alvin is a registered professional engineer in US, Malaysia, and a registered Chartered Engineer in UK.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Raja Kumar Murugesan

Raja Kumar is an Associate Professor of Computer Science, and Head of Research for the Faculty of Innovation and Technology at Taylor's University, Malaysia. He has a Ph.D. in Advanced Computer Networks from the Universiti Sains Malaysia. His research interests include IPv6, Future Internet, Internet Governance, Computer Networks, Network Security, IoT, Blockchain, and Machine Learning. He is a member of the IEEE, Internet Society (ISOC), and associated with the IPv6 Forum, Asia Pacific Advanced Network Group (APAN), Internet2, and Malaysia Network Operator Group (MyNOG) member's community. He has held various leadership roles in his academic career. Raja has given several invited talks and presentations at various international events associated with IPv6, Internet Governance, IoT and Blockchain. Prof. Dr Pavel Laskov

Prof. Dr. Pavel Laskov is full professor at the Institute of Information Systems and Head of the Hilti Chair of Data and Application Security. His research focuses on the development of reactive security mechanisms, especially for detection of and response to novel attacks. Such mechanisms are crucial for data-centric applications such as autonomous systems, cryptocurrencies and Internet-of-Things.
